ADIT - Advance Diploma in International Taxation

The ADIT is freestanding, modular and with no pre-conditions. It allows scope for tax advisers to demonstrate their high level of competence in a “home” country taxation system, and an awareness of an “away” country’s system. There are three components:

Paper I – Principles of International Taxation

This paper focuses on key issues such as principles of international tax law, residence, double taxation conventions and treaty interpretation, transfer pricing, the work of the OECD and international tax avoidance. It is not country specific.

Paper II – Advanced International Taxation – Primary Jurisdiction

Candidates are expected to have a detailed knowledge of their home country’s tax regime regarding international tax matters. Options available are the United Kingdom, the United States, and Hong Kong.

Paper III – Principles of Corporate and International Taxation – Secondary jurisdiction
