Aileen offers over 25 years' experience working on HMRC top level investigations, initially as an Inspector of Taxes in the Special Compliance Office (now Special Civil Investigations), and in the past 13 years at the top 4 accountancy firms in the defence of clients undergoing or anticipating an investigation. Such investigations range from large corporates to trust companies and individuals and include reviews of regulatory tax compliance, involving employment taxes and statutory customer reporting and withholding taxes. She can undertake an independent investigation report and advises on strategy, managing the investigation from start to finish. Her approach, being to anticipate and deal with HMRC concerns, has won notable successes in the cost-effective settlements ultimately achieved
