John Whiting

John Whiting has been a tax partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers since 1984, working on most areas of taxation including many years of involvement with Employment Solutions. Based in London, his current responsibilities include advising PwC and clients on Tax Policy developments and leading PwC's client Tax Training activities. The Tax policy work involves regular contacts with the UK tax authorities, Ministers and Shadow Ministers. He is a past President of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and chairs their Tax Policy Committee. A regular speaker and writer on a wide variety of taxation topics, his views on tax issues are constantly sought by both broadcast and print media. John Whiting was awarded the LexisNexis "Tax Writer of the year" award in 2004 and confesses to having been the inaugural recipient of the "Tax Personality of the Year" accolade.
