Richard Lewis is a partner in one of the general groups in the Herbert Smith LLP’s corporate division. He has a general corporate practice and broad experience of private and public mergers and acquisitions, public share issues, private equity transactions, joint ventures and corporate recovery matters.
Richard’s credentials include acting for Essar on its bid for Hutchinson Whampoa's interest in Hutchison Essar and its subsequent joint venture arrangement with Vodafone, Fortune Brands on its participation in Pernod Ricard's takeover of Allied Domecq and TXU Europe Group on the sale of its UK gas and power supply business to E.ON/PowerGen.
