Andrew Taggart

Andrew Taggart is a solicitor advocate who advises on all aspects of employment law. His litigation work includes enforcing and challenging restrictive covenants and defending breach of contract claims in the High Court and defending claims such as unfair dismissal, unlawful discrimination and whistle-blowing in the Employment Tribunal.
Andrew also provides advice on all employment law aspects of corporate transactions, in particular the application of the Transfer of Undertakings Regulations to disposals, acquisitions and outsourcings (from both a UK and International perspective) and transactions involving insolvent businesses.
His other work includes drafting employment contracts, in particular bonus and retention arrangements for financial services clients, advising on redundancy programs, dismissal procedures and termination agreements and on information and consultation obligations and agreements, including dealing with trade unions and establishing domestic and European works councils.
Andrew is the co-author of the UK section of the European employment law textbook Arbeitsrecht in Europa.
