Colin Passmore
Head of Litigation at Simmons & Simmons, London
Over the last 20 years Colin has worked in England, Hong Kong and the Middle East from where he has developed a varied practice concerned with international and domestic disputes. His particular areas of practice are large professional indemnity claims for Lloyd's underwriters, retail banking litigation, insolvency and business crime. He is also closely concerned with the firm's office in Qatar where Simmons & Simmons is the only European law firm with a licence to practise.
He joined Simmons & Simmons in 1986, becoming a partner in 1990 and a solicitor advocate (civil) in 1999.
He is Chairman of the Membership Committee of the Academy of Experts.
Colin is the author of "Privilege", the second edition of which was published in February 2006
