LexisNexis and CEDR partnership creates
innovative ADR solution

London, November 8, 2007 – LexisNexis and the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) today announced the launch of ADR KnowHow, the latest addition to LexisNexis’s online KnowHow service for lawyers. The launch coincides with CEDR’s Third European Mediation Congress that brings together mediation professionals from all over Europe.

LexisNexis is a leading provider of information and services for lawyers and tax professionals. CEDR is well known as Europe’s leading independent dispute resolution service.
Josh Bottomley, Managing Director, LexisNexis UK, said:  “The Master of the Rolls recently acknowledged the importance of ADR in today’s Civil Justice System. It is therefore a great coup for us to be collaborating with CEDR on the launch of KnowHow ADR. Building on the Centre’s immense industry expertise, we have designed a tool to give law firms informative and practical guidance on the mediation process and on other types of ADR.”

ADR KnowHow offers everything a lawyer needs to effectively run an ADR process; from drafting ADR clauses for contracts through to the practicalities of organising a mediation. It also includes a series of articles on current issues in mediation, written especially for KnowHow by CEDR mediation experts.
“As a leading service provider, trainer and source for ADR information in Europe, CEDR recognises the importance of timely, accurate information for law firms. We feel it is very fitting to create this partnership with the KnowHow service from LexisNexis, whereby CEDR will assist it in delivering ADR information,” said Karl Mackie, CEDR Chief Executive.
